Resources for Core Promoter Investigation

Elements Navigation Tool

ElemeNT is an interactive tool for rapid and convenient detection of core promoter elements within a given sequence.

The input sequence (plain text or FASTA format) is searched against the known core promoter elements to generate the probability score for each element.

Only the elements with scores above the specified cutoffs are displayed in the output table.

A Database of core promoter elements

The CORE database includes a list of core promoter elements/motifs located around annotated transcription start sites (TSSs) of ten specie (worm to human), organized into an Excel file. The goal of the database is to present a comprehensive annotation of core promoter elements based on the transcriptomes of the 10 species.

Visual annotation of CORE results for EPDnew promoters of multiple species

Customized UCSC genome browser sessions providing visual annotation of CORE results based on the Eukaryotic Promoter Database (EPDnew) for multiple organisms.
